Position Overview

The Director of Executive Communications & Content will spearhead the formulation and implementation of a holistic communications strategy that amplifies the voices of senior executives, including the President of Global Health & Sustainability and select Leadership Team members, to establish the organization as a frontrunner in global health initiatives. This role will focus on creating a unique editorial and thought leadership framework that sets the organization apart from competitors while motivating and engaging both internal and external audiences. The use of real-time analytics will be essential to identify trends and proactively address future challenges.

Key Responsibilities

Your duties will encompass, but are not limited to:

  • Oversee and enhance all executive communications within the Global Health division, including the President and selected Leadership Team members, to shape and elevate their presence on pertinent topics, establishing them as industry thought leaders.
  • Coordinate the generation of content (both written and social), town halls, speaking engagements, and media opportunities to align with the overarching Global Health and corporate communications strategy.
  • Craft communication plans that effectively relay key messages to both internal and external stakeholders, collaborating with Corporate Communications to ensure alignment in messaging and executive positioning.
  • Direct the editorial strategy and cultivate a thought leadership approach for Global Health & Sustainability, executing with a robust newsroom mentality to engage stakeholders across all channels – from intranet content to award submissions and best practice media outlets.
  • Generate and disseminate op-eds and other media content to establish the organization as a thought leader in the global health sector, leveraging the influence of the executive community.
  • Steer social media strategies and channel management for Global Health and Sustainability to showcase the organization’s commitment to impact and health equity, driven by a strong focus on audience data and insights.
  • Lead communications for Global Health associates and the broader organization to amplify the initiatives of the Global Health team, inspiring and engaging associates through compelling communication strategies.
  • Manage website and intranet content to ensure alignment with broader Global Health & Sustainability narratives.
  • Exemplify a proactive mindset; seek multidirectional insights to comprehend our environments and stakeholders, embracing iterative, measurable experimentation and action.
  • Utilize and analyze real-time data to inform communication strategies and assess effectiveness.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Fluency in English is required, with exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Extensive experience in communications, particularly in global health, sustainability, or related fields.
  • Proven expertise in developing editorial strategies and content creation.
  • Demonstrated experience in executive communications and managing senior stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical capabilities to interpret data and insights for informed decision-making.
  • Proven ability to cultivate and maintain relationships with media and key stakeholders.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills, with the capacity to collaborate across teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and deliver results under tight deadlines.
