About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Team Leader to join our team at Lake Country Co-op. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, leading a team of gas bar clerks, and ensuring the smooth operation of our C-Store and Gas Bar.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide legendary service to customers through various communication channels
- Lead a culture of safety and maximize operational efficiency
- Assist with effectively managing the development and direction of reporting team members
- Oversee sales, margins, expenses, inventory, and sales for the department
- Provide training to gas bar clerks for all store duties and opening and closing procedures
- Be familiar with and adhere to Lake Country Co-op policies and government regulations
- Complete daily reports, including cash up and reconciliations
- Support and follow Asset Protection and Safety Management systems
- Assist with maintaining image and brand standards
- Perform minor repairs to assets as required
About You:
We are looking for a candidate with strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills. You should have experience in C-Store/Gas Bar operations, general merchandise items, and Point of Sale systems. You must be able to plan and organize your own work and that of others, supervise others, and delegate to others. You should also have a valid Class 5 license and a reliable vehicle for daily trips.
