Opportunity Overview

The Field Operator Lead (Karr) plays a crucial role in our operations, reporting directly to the Production Foreman. This position emphasizes the importance of health, safety, and environmental standards. The ideal candidate will demonstrate independence, sound judgment in work methods, and provide leadership to a diverse team. A thorough understanding of production facilities, including gas compressors and oil battery facilities, is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prioritize Environment, Health & Safety in all operations.
  • Promote and implement safe work practices in alignment with company policies.
  • Supervise and mentor team members and contractors, stepping in for the field foreman as needed.
  • Conduct regular monitoring and maintenance of production wells and facilities.
  • Engage in compliance initiatives, including operating manuals and management of change processes.
  • Assist in maintaining the integrity of pipelines, vessels, tanks, and pressure safety valves.
  • Ensure operations are executed efficiently and cost-effectively.
  • Track monthly operating expenses and production metrics.
  • Identify operational deficiencies and suggest improvements to enhance performance standards.
  • Contribute to achieving business, environmental, health, and safety objectives.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of 4th Class Power Engineering and/or GPO/PFO certification is required.
  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant operating experience.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal oversight.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Adaptable to changing work conditions.
  • Proven leadership and interpersonal abilities.
  • Positive demeanor with a focus on teamwork.
  • Disciplined work ethic and a strong desire to contribute to team success.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and quick to learn proprietary software.
  • Willingness to work on an 8&6 shift schedule.
  • Availability for on-call duties and overtime as necessary.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license.
