About This Opportunity

Reporting to the Production Foreman, the Field Operator Lead (Karr) prioritizes health, safety and environmental standards. The selected candidate will work independently, exercise sound judgement in selecting work methods, and provide leadership to a multi-disciplinary team. This position requires comprehensive knowledge of production facilities and the ability to operate gas compressors, oil battery facilities, and associated wells.

The candidate will reside in the Grande Prairie area.

Job functions will involve:

  • Environment, Health & Safety must be a priority
  • Support and initiate safe work practices, following all Paramount policies and procedures
  • Provide supervision and mentorship to co-workers and contractors, act as a delegate for field foreman when necessary
  • Conduct routine monitoring and maintenance of producing wells, test facilities, and plant facilities
  • Participate in and follow compliance initiatives, including O&M manuals, MOC’s
  • Assist in the maintenance and integrity programs with pipelines, vessels, tanks and PSVs
  • Ensure operations are carried out in a cost-effective manner
  • Conduct monthly LOE and production tracking
  • Identify deficiencies and recommend corrections to existing procedures to meet performance standards
  • Contribute to the team achievement of meeting business, environmental, health and safety targets
Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 4 th Class Power Engineering and/or completion of GPO/PFO certificate is required
  • Minimum 8 years of operating experience
  • Self-starter capable of working independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing work environments
  • Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Positive attitude and an ability to foster teamwork
  • Disciplined work ethic, self-motivated, positive attitude, and a strong desire to contribute
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs and an ability to learn Paramount software programs
  • Will be required to work 8&6 shift
  • Must be willing to be on call and work overtime when required
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license
