About the Role

The University of Ottawa seeks a dynamic and experienced Digital Marketing Strategist to contribute to our esteemed academic community. This role will focus on shaping and implementing innovative digital marketing strategies across various platforms, leveraging cutting-edge technologies to enhance brand visibility, engagement, and ultimately, student recruitment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive digital marketing campaigns encompassing social media, search engine optimization (SEO), email marketing, and website analytics.
  • Conduct in-depth market research and competitive analysis to identify trends and opportunities within the higher education landscape.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align digital marketing efforts with overall institutional goals and objectives.
  • Analyze campaign performance metrics, providing insightful reports and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Stay abreast of emerging digital marketing technologies and best practices to ensure a forward-thinking approach.

Qualifications

  • A Master's degree (or equivalent) in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field is required. A PhD is highly desirable.
  • Proven experience in developing and executing successful digital marketing strategies within the higher education sector or a comparable industry.
  • Strong analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in various digital marketing tools and platforms, including social media management systems, SEO software, email marketing platforms, and website analytics tools.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
