About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Solutions Specialist to join our team. As a Senior Technical Solutions Specialist, you will be responsible for performing onboarding of data from various systems to Splunk environments and building powerful user interactive dashboards to meet business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform onboarding of data from small, midsize, and enterprise-level systems to various Splunk environments.
- Build powerful user interactive dashboards to meet business needs.
- Develop Splunk applications (apps) for deployments to forwarders, indexers, and search heads to onboard and make use of data.
- Provide technical and consulting support to project teams to identify and meet data onboarding and dashboarding needs with varying degrees of supervision.
- Act as a subject matter expert on Splunk.
- Possess excellent technical acumen.
- Understand code development and deployment processes and implement best practices in development and deployment practices.
- Understand application availability and strive towards keeping applications up and stable in multiple application environments.
- Quickly analyze business and technology challenges and recommend appropriate IT solutions and services in a real-time support environment.
- Resolve issues that cross multiple systems or departments that may affect the application stability.
- Understand the importance of source code configuration management.
- Track open issues and resolution of issues.
- Be a self-motivated and focused individual who enjoys a fast-paced environment requiring attention to detail.
Requirements:
- Good understanding of Splunk architecture and add-ons/content packs.
- Capable of applying Splunk best practices for data onboarding and building dashboards.
- Expertise in Splunk configurations required to onboard data into Splunk.
- Fluent in Splunk SPL queries to build alerts, dashboards, and reports in Splunk.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Splunk Dashboard Studio, IT Service Intelligence (ITSI), and Machine Learning Toolkit (MLTK).
- Proven track record in installing Splunk software and developing Splunk apps for various Splunk components.
- Deploying and managing applications in public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and/or private cloud platforms (OpenStack, VMware).
- Troubleshoot and resolve Splunk configuration issues.
- Exposure to Splunk Cloud administration.
- Well-versed in Linux commands.
- Exposure to database systems such as SQL Server, Oracle, etc. and networking infrastructure such as firewall, load balancers, DNS, active directory, etc.
- Certifications preferred - Splunk Enterprise Certified Admin, Splunk ITSI Certified Admin, Splunk Certified Developer.
