Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

Application Support:

  • Deliver comprehensive technical support for software applications utilized within the organization.
  • Diagnose and resolve application-related issues reported by users, ensuring minimal impact on operations.
  • Maintain detailed records of support requests and solutions in a tracking system, ensuring prompt resolution.

SQL Query Development:

  • Create, develop, and enhance complex SQL queries for data extraction, manipulation, and reporting from diverse databases.
  • Ensure queries are efficient and optimized for performance, collaborating with analysts to align technical solutions with business needs.

Reporting and Data Visualization:

  • Design and maintain reporting solutions, including dashboards and static reports, to effectively communicate insights.
  • Utilize reporting tools to create visual representations of data that meet user requirements.

Data Integration and ETL:

  • Assist in the design and implementation of ETL processes to facilitate data movement and transformation.
  • Ensure data integrity across various platforms and collaborate with database administrators for unified reporting.

Data Analysis and Troubleshooting:

  • Conduct data analysis to uncover trends and insights that support strategic decision-making.
  • Resolve issues related to data quality and reporting discrepancies, ensuring system reliability.

Documentation and Standards:

  • Develop and maintain technical documentation for SQL queries and reporting processes.
  • Adhere to best practices in SQL development, ensuring code versioning and documentation standards are met.

User Assistance and Training:

  • Provide guidance to users on application inquiries and conduct training sessions to enhance their understanding.
  • Create user manuals and training materials to support effective application usage.

Application Maintenance and Upgrades:

  • Support the planning and implementation of application updates and enhancements.
  • Collaborate with vendors to test and deploy application changes.

Security and Compliance:

  • Ensure applications comply with organizational security policies and assist in audits related to software applications.
  • Monitor for vulnerabilities and collaborate with IT security teams to implement necessary measures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in application support, SQL development, and database management.
  • Proficient in SQL with the ability to write complex queries and troubleshoot performance issues.
  • Strong understanding of software applications and IT infrastructure.
  • Experience with reporting tools and data visualization techniques.
