Position Summary

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays a crucial role in delivering nursing care to residents at a personal care facility. Under the guidance of the Director of Care, the LPN is tasked with administering medical treatments, collaborating with the healthcare team, and engaging in the coordination of resident care.

Required Experience

  • Preferred recent experience in clinical settings.

Educational Background

  • Completion of an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing Education program is mandatory.

Licensure and Certification

  • Current registration with the relevant nursing regulatory body is essential.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Adherence to the Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics set forth by the regulatory body.
  • Understanding of nursing care methodologies.
  • Familiarity with applicable legislation and regulations.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills.
  • Ability to prioritize patient care and effectively delegate responsibilities.

Physical Demands

  • Must maintain good physical and mental health.
  • Expected to perform moderate to heavy physical tasks.
