Adult Inpatient Psychiatrist Opportunity

Homewood Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Adult Inpatient Psychiatrist to join our interdisciplinary team. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will provide high-quality patient care and contribute to the development of innovative mental health services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical care to assigned patients, including admission, assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and discharge
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care and outcomes
  • Document patient information accurately and thoroughly, using electronic medical platforms as required
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of best practice standards
  • Support colleagues with patient coverage during absences and provide clinical guidance to the program
Requirements:
  • Specialist certification in Psychiatry from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPS) or equivalent body
  • Strong ability to create exceptional relationships with patients, colleagues, and stakeholders
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to negotiate and influence
  • Highly developed organizational and time-management skills, with a passion for excellent patient-centered care
