Position Overview

The Concessions Operations Coordinator plays a vital role in the effective management and operation of the venue's food service offerings. Responsibilities encompass, but are not limited to, food preparation and production, adherence to alcohol service regulations, guest relations, staff recruitment, training, scheduling, and financial reconciliation. The Coordinator is expected to deliver exceptional event oversight, technical expertise, and operational support to guarantee the seamless execution of any assigned event.

This position requires consistent attendance and availability to work events as dictated by business needs.

The compensation for this role ranges from $19.25 to $20.75 per hour.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the management, development, and mentoring of staff across various concession stands, supervising approximately 25-35 employees.
  • Actively oversee, coach, counsel, train, and guide employees to meet company quality standards.
  • Initiate and approve all employment-related actions including hiring, training, promotions, transfers, and disciplinary measures.
  • Ensure the completion of employee documentation, addressing performance and attendance issues in line with company policies.
  • Guarantee proper setup of all concession areas prior to event commencement, including verifying inventory, assigning duties, and ensuring sanitation standards are upheld.
  • Confirm that cash handling procedures are followed by Stand Leads.
  • Provide high-level oversight and operational expertise to ensure the efficient and profitable execution of events.
  • Be prepared to cover any open position to maintain operational standards and guest satisfaction.
  • Support Premium Services operations and event needs as directed by the Food & Beverage Manager.
  • Offer guidance and oversight to Stand Supervisors and staff.
  • Ensure compliance with all OVG and venue policies, including alcohol service and food safety regulations.
  • Report any compliance issues, including recognizing visibly intoxicated guests and taking appropriate action.
  • Oversee post-event administrative tasks and product tracking reports.
  • Serve as a resource for POS applications and troubleshooting hardware issues.
  • Maintain a safe and harassment-free work environment, addressing safety concerns promptly.
  • Communicate safety and health issues to management immediately.
  • Ensure staff understand workplace expectations, providing ongoing assistance, training, and mentoring to foster a positive work environment.
  • Uphold sanitation, health, and safety standards in all work areas.
  • Assist management with projects related to training, inventory, and special events.

Qualifications

  • Strong communication skills to interact with employees, volunteers, management, and guests in a professional manner.
  • Ability to make sound operational decisions quickly and under pressure.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
  • Familiarity with computer applications including Microsoft Office and POS systems.
  • Capability to thrive in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of all concession locations, equipment, and safety procedures.
  • Understanding of sanitation requirements, food preparation guidelines, and alcohol service policies.
  • Basic math skills for cash transactions and inventory management.
  • Responsible cash handling abilities.
  • Commitment to integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Relevant experience of six months to one year, or a combination of education and experience.
  • Valid Food Handlers and Responsible Beverage Certifications are required.
