Patient Services Coordinator

Fraser Health Authority is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Unit Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our patient services team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our patient care areas.
Key Responsibilities- Communication and Coordination: Act as a communication link for the assigned area, coordinating with other departments and facilities to ensure seamless patient care.
- Appointment Scheduling: Schedule, book, and coordinate patient appointments, ensuring timely and efficient access to care.
- Chart Management: Assemble and maintain patient charts, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information is available for healthcare providers.
- Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to the patient services team, including data entry, filing, and maintaining records.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to patients, families, and healthcare providers, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Education and Experience: Grade 12, medical terminology, and graduation of a recognized Nursing Unit Clerk program, plus one year of recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Skills and Abilities: Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing; ability to deal with others effectively; physical ability to carry out the duties of the position; ability to keyboard at 40 wpm; ability to organize work; ability to operate related equipment; and ability to utilize a variety of computer software applications.
