Key Responsibilities- Administrative Support: Provide clerical support to our medical unit, including answering phones, responding to emails, and maintaining accurate records.
- Communication: Act as a liaison between patients, families, and healthcare teams, ensuring effective communication and coordination of care.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical histories, test results, and treatment plans.
- Scheduling: Coordinate patient appointments, surgeries, and other medical procedures, ensuring timely and efficient scheduling.
- Supply Management: Order and manage medical supplies, equipment, and other resources as needed.
- Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance patient care and services.
- Education: Grade 12, medical terminology, and graduation from a recognized Nursing Unit Clerk program.
- Experience: One year of recent, related experience in a healthcare setting.
- Skills: Excellent communication and organizational skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency in computer software applications.
