Farm Supervisor Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Farm Supervisor to join our team at Turning Leaf Greenhouses. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our farm and ensuring the highest quality crops are produced.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and coordinate crop growth and development, considering factors such as water saturation, light, and temperature.
  • Direct agricultural crops deleafing activities and ensure accurate records are maintained.
  • Supervise nursery and greenhouse workers, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Perform routine chemical and physical tests of products and maintain accurate records.
  • Enforce policies and procedures, and recruit, hire, and supervise staff and/or volunteers.
  • Identify and investigate compliance issues and coordinate planting, cultivating, and crop harvesting activities.
Requirements:
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Pesticide Applicator's Licence.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and maintain accurate records.
