Counsellor Hummingbird Program Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Counsellor to join our Hummingbird team, providing crisis counselling and support to callers on our various crisis lines services. The successful candidate will also provide in-person support to individuals who have experienced sexual and intimate partner violence within an interdisciplinary model.
Key Responsibilities- Provide crisis counselling and support to callers on our crisis lines services
- Provide in-person support and advocacy to individuals who have experienced sexual and intimate partner violence
- Mentor new volunteer advocates in the Hummingbird program
- Assess caller needs and risk
- Chart appropriately according to Klinic procedures and documentation guidelines
- Undergraduate degree in Social Sciences, graduate degree preferred
- Understanding of empowerment-based, trauma-informed principles
- Current member of the SACP program preferred, former members encouraged to apply
- A thorough knowledge and understanding of therapeutic/counselling process, crisis intervention, and suicide prevention
We offer a competitive salary range of $33.747 per hour - $44.041 per hour and a comprehensive benefits package. Klinic is committed to working towards having a more equitable and diverse workforce at all levels of our organization.
