Job Title: Child and Youth Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child and Youth Worker to join our team at Pluming Eagle Lodge Ltd. in a group home setting.

About the Role:

This is a permanent position requiring 30 to 40 hours of work per week. The successful candidate will have a college diploma or equivalent in a related field and 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare reports and case histories to document client progress and needs.
  • Assess clients' needs and eligibility for specific services, and develop intervention logic models and outcome measures.
  • Implement life skills workshops and behaviour management programs to support clients' development and well-being.
  • Provide suicide and crisis intervention, and resolve conflict situations in a safe and respectful manner.
  • Supervise activities of clients living in group homes and half-way houses, and ensure their safety during visits with parents.
  • Liaise with other social services agencies and healthcare providers to coordinate services and support clients' needs.
  • Develop and implement service delivery plans, and evaluate the effectiveness of treatment programs.
Requirements:
  • College diploma or equivalent in a related field.
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role.
  • Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) Certificate, Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST), and other relevant certifications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
