About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Teacher - Secondary Generalist to join our team at the Department of Education, Western Australia. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in promoting student engagement and academic achievement in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement engaging and relevant secondary school curricula in multiple learning areas.
  • Provide high-quality teaching and learning experiences that cater to diverse student needs and abilities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design and deliver effective instructional strategies and assessments.
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and supportive school culture that fosters social and emotional development.
  • Participate in ongoing professional learning and development to enhance teaching practices and stay up-to-date with curriculum developments.
Requirements
  • Hold a relevant teaching qualification and registration with the relevant state or territory authority.
  • Have a strong commitment to promoting student engagement and academic achievement in a supportive and inclusive environment.
  • Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
  • Apply for a WA Working with Children Check before starting employment and consent to and obtain a National Criminal History Check with the Department's Screening Unit.
