About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Teacher - Health and Physical Education Specialist to join our team at the Department of Education, Western Australia. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality health and physical education programs to students in our schools.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging and challenging health and physical education programs that meet the needs of all students.
- Provide professional development and support to colleagues to enhance their skills and knowledge in health and physical education.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to develop and implement school-wide initiatives that promote physical activity and healthy lifestyles.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of curriculum and assessment programs in health and physical education.
- Provide guidance and support to students in the development of their physical and emotional well-being.
Requirements
- Hold a relevant teaching qualification and have experience in teaching health and physical education.
- Have a strong understanding of the Western Australian Curriculum and Assessment Framework.
- Be able to work collaboratively with colleagues and other stakeholders to achieve school and departmental goals.
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Be able to provide professional development and support to colleagues.
