We are seeking a highly qualified individual to join our faculty as an Assistant Professor in the area of Black Political Thought. This tenure stream position is open to candidates with a strong research and teaching background in political science or a related field.

Responsibilities
  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in political science, with a focus on Black Political Thought
  • Conduct innovative and independent research in the area of Black Political Thought, with a focus on publishing in top-ranked journals
  • Establish an outstanding, competitive, and externally funded research program
Requirements
  • PhD degree in Political Science or a related discipline by the time of appointment, or shortly thereafter
  • Clearly demonstrated record of excellence in research and teaching
  • Specialization in Black Political Thought, with a focus on political thought from Africa, the Caribbean, Latin America, Canada, the United States, Europe, or other parts of the world
