Solar Energy Installation Specialist

Job Summary:

Northern PWR is seeking a skilled Solar Energy Installation Specialist to join our team in the Edmonton area. As a key member of our solar installation team, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional solar services to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with fellow installers and electricians to ensure efficient and high-quality installations.
  • Train with our electrical and installation crews to ensure you are prepared for this job.
  • Complete projects within established policies and procedures.
  • Complete projects within time frames and budgets.
  • Maintain high levels of quality assurance and quality control with an emphasis on crew safety.
  • Assemble the solar array racking, properly seal all roof penetrations, and install all relative equipment.
  • Work exceptionally well with others, competently delegate work amongst the crew and resolve potential crew issues.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot system malfunctions and operational issues.
  • Communicate with customers professionally, respectfully, and honestly, answering all questions and complaints to the best of your ability.

Requirements:

  • Must live in the Edmonton area.
  • Previous experience working on residential roofs.
  • A minimum of apprentice level of electrician work.
  • A reliable vehicle to get you to the warehouse every morning.
  • Put safety as a priority.
  • Other construction and installation experience.
  • Being able to lift 45-50lbs.
  • Comfortable climbing up and down ladders.
  • Basic knowledge of hand tools.
  • Able to work full time hours a week.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous solar installer experience.
  • Has a fall arrest safety ticket.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • We provide wattage-based pay, enabling you to optimize your earnings. Expected annual compensation ranges from $80,000-95,000.
