Job Title: HVAC Installation Specialist

We are seeking a skilled HVAC Installation Specialist to join our team at Gridworks Energy Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining HVAC systems, ensuring the safe operation of all new installations, and providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities:
  • Install and maintain HVAC equipment, heat pumps, and accessory items in accordance with manufacturer specifications and local codes.
  • Ensure the safe operation of all new installations and correctly instruct customers on proper care and maintenance.
  • Learn and grow as part of a progressive and customer service-oriented team.
  • Create a positive relationship with customers by offering for sale other company products and services.
  • Maintain company vehicles to a neat, clean, and safe standard.
  • Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems in accordance with industry standards.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with heating, cooling, and ventilation systems.
  • Perform routine maintenance checks to ensure efficient operation of HVAC equipment.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to understand system layouts.
  • Collaborate with other technicians to build and install new HVAC/Heat Pump systems as needed.
  • Conduct appliance repair tasks related to HVAC components.
  • Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with local regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience with HVAC installation work.
  • The ability to assist in the development of a new HVAC/Heat Pump division.
  • Gas 'B' ticket.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.
  • Able to work 5 days per week.
  • Able to perform all work required of this position, including occasional lifting of 15 kg up to shoulder height, frequent bending, occasional squatting/kneeling, working inside and outside in all types of weather within environments that can be dusty and/or slippery.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Outstanding customer service skills.
  • Proven experience as an HVAC Technician or similar role.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to plumb and build as necessary.
  • Familiarity with HVAC systems, appliances, and tools used in the industry.
  • Ability to read schematics and technical drawings effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Valid driver's license may be required for travel between job sites.
  • Certification or training in HVAC technology is preferred but not mandatory.
