Payroll and Accounts Payable Specialist

Commissionaires Canada is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Payroll and Accounts Payable Clerk to join our finance team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate processing of accounts payable and assisting the payroll specialist with bi-weekly payroll.
Key Responsibilities:- Process and record authorized vendor invoices in a timely manner in accordance with our computerized accounting system.
- Reconcile Accounts Payable control accounts against sub-ledger accounts and various general ledger accounts.
- Effectively communicate and follow-up with vendors for invoice-related issues.
- Provide month-end journal accruals and working papers for site tracking initiatives.
- Work closely with senior finance team members to ensure efficient and accurate processing and maintenance of accurate financial records.
- Accounting diploma or degree equivalent, with a preference for CPA candidate currently or planning to be enrolled in PEP program.
- 1-2 years of direct related job experience, specifically in payroll.
- Excellent customer service skills, organization skills, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to deal with remote employees via phone and email.
- Excellent attention to detail and high accuracy, with a proven ability to multi-task and manage ongoing tight deadlines.
