Position Overview:
As a Lead Technical Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in providing expert technical evaluations and guidance. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of engineering and technical specialists to support the organization's emergency management initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver technical assessments and solutions, addressing challenges and coordinating efforts within diverse teams.
  • Assist in the development and enhancement of training programs for Enterprise Emergency Management, ensuring all requirements are defined and updated.
  • Contribute to the monitoring and evaluation of performance measurement systems, including the refinement of key performance indicators.
  • Oversee the maintenance and testing of emergency facilities and equipment, ensuring readiness in emergency operations.
  • Lead project initiatives, formulating work plans, and tracking project execution in alignment with industry regulations and client expectations.
  • Act as a technical authority in your designated area of expertise, providing insights to support operational activities.
  • Engage with committees and task forces to conduct studies and develop work programs relevant to the organization and the broader industry.
  • Stay informed about advancements in your technical field through ongoing research and collaboration with educational and industrial entities.
  • Work closely with field teams to plan and execute drills and exercises effectively.

Project Management:
Demonstrate proficiency in project management by:
  • Defining project requirements and creating comprehensive plans.
  • Preparing accurate cost estimates and participating in proposal requests and contract negotiations.
  • Managing projects through their execution phases and ensuring successful project closeout.

Qualifications:
  • Ability to navigate conflicting priorities related to scope, schedule, cost, and quality.
  • Proven experience as a collaborative team player, adept at managing relationships with various internal and external stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with emergency management plans and processes is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of Engineering Change Control processes is a plus.
  • Experience in field operations, particularly in planning and executing tests, is beneficial.
  • An advanced degree in engineering (Master's or PhD) and a Professional Engineering license are considered assets.
