We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer/Scientist to join our team at Kinectrics, a leading company in the energy and utilities industry. This is a permanent position in our Design and Engineering Services department.

Job Title: Senior Engineer/Scientist, Nuclear and Mechanical

Employment Type: Full-time

Department: Design and Engineering Services

Reports to: Section Manager, Site Engineering

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical leadership and direction for equipment designs
  • Mentor and guide junior team members in their professional development
  • Perform complex mechanical engineering analysis and assessments
  • Collaborate with partners and stakeholders to achieve project goals
  • Provide field support for plant design modifications and upgrades
  • Conduct technical assessments and troubleshooting to resolve client issues
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary projects and contribute to the development of innovative solutions
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements
  • Travel as required to support project needs

Requirements:

  • Extensive knowledge of mechanical and nuclear engineering principles and practices
  • Familiarity with relevant codes and standards
  • Experience working with nuclear power plant systems and equipment
  • Degree in Mechanical or Nuclear Engineering
  • P.Eng. designation
  • Strong project management skills and experience
  • At least 8 years of relevant experience in the field
  • Nuclear security clearance is an asset
