Position Overview:
Ontario Power Generation (OPG) is seeking a proactive and strategic Senior Technical Engineer/Officer to enhance our Plant Design Civil team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the efficient operation of our facilities through comprehensive monitoring and analysis of plant data.
Status: Full Time
Working Conditions: Hybrid, with a minimum of three days in the office
Education Requirement: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
Location: Pickering, Ontario
Number of Positions: 1
Travel Requirement: 10%
Salary Range: $1, $2,832.86 per week

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee systems specifically focused on chemistry control.
- Conduct technical evaluations and provide recommendations in various major work areas within OPG's Nuclear facilities.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and technical specialists to support the operation of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Assist in the execution of projects while adhering to industry regulations and standards.
- Coordinate specification clarifications and manage necessary changes in major work areas.
- Maintain and update departmental procedures and documentation.
- Provide technical support and problem-solving expertise in commissioning, operation, and maintenance of facilities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Structural Engineering.
- Must hold a valid engineering license in Ontario.
- Minimum of 10 years of structural design experience, preferably in a Nuclear Engineering environment.
- Strong communication skills with experience in leading meetings and presentations.
- Ability to work collaboratively with various internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficient in structural engineering software, particularly STAADPRO, and familiar with Microsoft Office and Adobe applications.
- Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and standards.
