Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Design Consultant to join our team. As a Design Consultant, you will work with customers to help plan and design their spaces, providing elevated designs and delivering an exceptional customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive sales and customer satisfaction by providing enriching customer interactions and delivering elevated design offerings in-store and virtually.
  • Create custom CB2 designs for customers using design tools, including moodboards, 2D floor plans, product lists, and style inspiration.
  • Lead one-on-one design consultations, delivering projects in a timely manner and within determined timelines.
  • Possess a clear understanding of CB2's brand aesthetics and merchandising strategy across channels, including store, online, and catalog.
  • Deliver individual sales, KPI, and service goals, as well as engage customers on the sales floor by demonstrating effective sales techniques.
  • Stay informed about market trends and industry developments.
  • Actively listen to customers to identify their needs and communicate relevant products and services, such as loyalty programs and gift registry options.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring all customers receive gracious, quick, and efficient service.

Requirements

  • Understanding of basic design principles, including spatial planning, fabric selection, lighting, and interior design styles.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to translate CB2's brand vision and customer needs.
  • Strong affinity for technology, including 2D and 3D tools, Google Suite, and video conferencing.
  • Ability to stay up-to-date on current design trends.
  • 1+ years of relevant experience in furniture sales, home decor design, or retail/customer service.
  • Full-time roles require open availability to work flexible hours on weekdays, evenings, and weekends.
  • Part-time roles require availability to work two or more weekend days and at least one weekday or night.
