Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at Westbay Instruments. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for the development of our ground water monitoring instruments and related products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop mechanical components using SolidWorks, with a focus on diverse manufacturing methods including injection molding, CNC, lathe, press, and 3D printing.
  • Perform analysis of tolerances, stress/strain, and statics to ensure the manufacturability of designed components and systems.
  • Produce all required engineering and manufacturing documentation, including specification sheets, brochures, and manuals.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing to establish comprehensive product and design specifications that align with customer and industry requirements.
  • Work closely with manufacturing personnel to ensure the manufacturability of designed components and systems.
Requirements:
  • Mechanical Engineering Degree required.
  • 7 to 10 years of proven industry experience in machinery design.
  • In-depth knowledge of SolidWorks and SolidWorks PDM.
  • Experience running Finite Element Analysis (FEA) using SolidWorks or equivalent package is preferred.
  • 5 years with hands-on experience in production and manufacturing.
