Key Responsibilities:

  • Update essential lease information in the Rent Administration database in accordance with new lease contracts, modifications, and other significant documents;
  • Contribute to maintaining the accuracy of rent expenses integrated with the Accounts Payable and Accounting systems;
  • Review and assess rent charges from landlords, negotiating billing adjustments as necessary to ensure adherence to lease agreements and to minimize rental costs;
  • Calculate the percentage rent due based on the rates, terms, and frequencies specified in the leases.

Qualifications:

  • DEC or Bachelor of Commerce or equivalent, with a solid foundation in accounting;
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience;
  • Strong analytical and decision-making capabilities;
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) in English and French, enabling effective interaction with landlords across Canada;
  • Experience in retail lease administration and proficiency with lease management software are significant advantages.
