Job Summary
The Silver Hotel Group is seeking a skilled Bartender to join our team. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for preparing and serving drinks to our guests and customers. You will have the opportunity to mix and match ingredients to create classic and innovative drinks in accordance with customers' needs and expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Interact with customers in a friendly and helpful manner, take orders, and serve drinks and snacks;
- Assist in the planning and presentation of the bar menu;
- Check identification of guests when in doubt, to ensure they meet age requirements for purchase of alcohol and tobacco products;
- Arrange the bar area to make attractive displays;
- Assess customers' needs and preferences and make recommendations;
- Sell or influence others by up-selling and suggestive selling;
- Provide recommendations and suggestions to guests;
- Maintain liquor inventory and consumption;
- Collect payment for drinks served and balance all receipts;
- Prepare inventory or purchase requisitions as needed to replenish supplies;
- Comply with all food and beverage regulations;
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Exceptional customer service skills;
- Smart Serve Certification;
- Food Handling Certification is an asset;
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, holidays, and weekends;
- Authorized to work in Canada.
