We are seeking a dedicated and innovative leader to join our team as the Manager of External Communications. In this pivotal role, you will guide a talented group of media and social media experts in a dynamic, newsroom-like setting, focusing on narratives that highlight the remarkable achievements of our students and the institution.

Your Role Will Involve:

  • Providing empathetic leadership while prioritizing team initiatives and fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Engaging with key internal stakeholders, including senior management, to offer insights on communication strategies and presenting creative solutions that align with their objectives.
  • Crafting and executing comprehensive communication strategies and campaigns that resonate with our institutional values and amplify the inspiring stories of our community.
  • Producing and refining a variety of content formats, including articles, press releases, social media updates, and briefing documents, ensuring each piece effectively communicates our mission.
  • Establishing clear and impactful messaging for all projects undertaken.

Qualifications We Value:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in communications or journalism, with a strong background in social media and media relations.
  • Proven track record of managing intricate communication projects from inception to completion.
  • Experience in leading a team of communication professionals.
  • A post-secondary qualification in journalism, public relations, or communications.
