Intermediate Hydrogeologist - Vancouver, BC, Canada

SRK Consulting is a leading international consulting practice providing integrated services to the mining and metals sector.

We are seeking a highly skilled Intermediate Hydrogeologist to join our team.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will work within our hydrogeology group, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to deliver projects related to environmental and engineering components. Key responsibilities include:

  • Field work planning and implementation
  • Drill supervision and hydrogeological instrumentation installation and operation
  • Data analysis and interpretation, conceptual modeling, and reporting
  • Interpreting data on constructed remediation systems
  • Contributing to engineering designs and estimates of pit or underground inflows

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of an undergraduate degree in geology, geological engineering, or physical geography, with emphasis on geology, hydrogeology, hydrology, environmental engineering, or geotechnical disciplines
  • At least five years of experience in one or more of the listed disciplines, preferably in the mining industry
  • Strong writing and communication skills, with ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience with installation and operation of deep groundwater instrumentation
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record
  • Professional registration or eligibility to obtain it
