Role Description

We are seeking an entry to mid-level hydrogeologist to support projects across our operational regions, including the USA, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. The ideal candidate will possess 2 to 6 years of relevant consulting experience in hydrogeology, with a solid understanding of structural geology and geotechnical engineering. This role presents an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic office experiencing rapid growth in a robust market focused on infrastructure development, particularly in the underground sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct hydrogeological investigations, soil and rock site characterizations, and groundwater resource assessments for underground projects.
  • Specialize in planning and executing groundwater investigations, assessing the impacts of construction on groundwater systems, and predicting inflow rates during various construction phases.
  • Assist in designing and conducting field investigations, including drilling, well installation, and aquifer testing.
  • Analyze and interpret hydrogeological data to conceptualize groundwater systems.
  • Perform quantitative analyses and modeling of groundwater systems using standard analytical techniques and commercial numerical software.
  • Engage in diverse office and field assignments, focusing on hydrogeological and geotechnical engineering analyses, along with the development of drawings, specifications, calculations, and technical memoranda.
  • Prepare comprehensive technical reports, project correspondence, field activity reports, data reports, and work plans for both internal and client review.
  • Support business development and marketing initiatives, including the preparation of cost proposals and presentations for current and prospective clients.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Geology or Hydrogeology; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • 2 to 6 years of experience in hydrogeology.
  • Strong grasp of hydrogeological principles, field data collection, and numerical modeling techniques.
  • Proficiency in groundwater modeling software (e.g., MODFLOW, FEFLOW) and programming languages (e.g., Python).
  • Experience with GIS for spatial analysis and visualization.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
