Job Title: Senior Lead, Fabrication

At the National Research Council Canada, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Lead, Fabrication to join our team. As a key member of our Design and Fabrication Services Branch, you will be responsible for leading a team of fabrication technicians and ensuring the successful completion of projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of fabrication technicians to design, develop, and manufacture complex components and systems.
  • Develop and implement fabrication processes and procedures to ensure high-quality products and efficient production.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve technical issues and improve overall project outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations, and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Develop and manage budgets, schedules, and resource allocation to meet project requirements.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in a relevant field, such as mechanical engineering or manufacturing engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a leadership role in fabrication or manufacturing.
  • Proven track record of leading high-performing teams and achieving project goals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues.
