Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Electroneurophysiology Technologist to join our team at Fraser Health. As an Electroneurophysiology Technologist, you will be responsible for performing various electroneurophysiological tests, including EEG tests and recordings for Carotid Endarterectomy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conducts and records EEG tests on patients by operating digital equipment, adjusting equipment during test processes, and taking measurements from test data.
  • Formulates technical preliminary reports by analyzing recordings, describing abnormal manifestations, and forwarding impressions to Neurologists for diagnosis.
  • Prepares patients for tests by reviewing case history, assessing the nature of problems, and determining test approach.
  • Obtains patient history, explains procedures, attaches electrodes, and monitors patient comfort to ensure required results.
  • Sets up and monitors Carotid Endarterectomy during OR procedures and advises Surgeons of any changes.
  • Maintains equipment, ensures accurate records, and reports problems to Biomed for servicing.
  • Provides input into capital equipment acquisitions and budget information.
Requirements
  • Graduation from a recognized program in Electroneurophysiology Technology plus one year's recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Eligibility for registration with the Canadian Board of Registration of Electroneurophysiology Technologists (CBRET) and/or the Board of Registered Electromyography Technologists of Canada (BRETC).
