Your new role

In the capacity of a Project Manager, you will be responsible for supervising health and safety measures on construction sites, ensuring adherence to established best practices. You will apply project management methodologies that align with the organization's culture and client expectations. Your responsibilities will also include managing the procurement of professional services, equipment, and subcontractors. Working closely with the Senior Project Director and Construction Engineers, you will negotiate and finalize contracts with subcontractors. Furthermore, you will oversee daily operations on construction sites, assess project risks, manage financial resources, and facilitate effective communication with both internal teams and clients to ensure successful project delivery.

What you'll need to succeed

To qualify for this position, you should possess a Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related discipline. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 years of experience in managing construction projects within industrial, institutional, or commercial sectors (such as healthcare facilities, educational institutions, or pharmaceutical projects). Familiarity with local regulations and permits, as well as an understanding of the business risks and financial implications of decisions, is crucial. Knowledge of energy systems in built environments, including boilers, chillers, and cogeneration plants, will be considered an asset. A valid driver's license is also a requirement for this role.
