The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental consulting, operations, and business management.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- **Leadership & Strategy:** Provide strategic direction and leadership to the technical services business units, aligning with the company's vision and goals.
- **Technical Excellence:** Ensure the delivery of high-quality, innovative technical solutions across all projects.
- **Business Development:** Collaborate with the business development manager and the Technical Department Heads to identify new opportunities and expand our client base.
- **Project Oversight:** Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of technical projects, ensuring they meet client expectations and regulatory requirements.
- **Team Management:** Mentor, develop, and inspire a team of skilled professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- **Client Relations:** Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and ensuring their satisfaction.
- **Compliance & Standards:** Ensure all projects adhere to environmental regulations and industry standards.
- **Financial Management:** Oversee the technical business units' budgets, optimizing resources and ensuring profitability.
**Qualifications:**
- **Education:** Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field. A professional designation (e.g., P.Eng., P.Geo., R.P.Bio.) is required.
- **Experience:** Minimum of 15 years of experience in environmental consulting, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- **Technical Expertise:** In-depth knowledge of provincial and federal environmental regulations, site assessment and remediation, and sustainability practices.
- **Leadership Skills:** Proven ability to lead, inspire, and develop high-performing teams.
- **Communication:** Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively present complex information to diverse audiences.
- **Business Acumen:** Strong understanding of business operations, financial management, and strategic planning.
- **Problem-Solving:** Demonstrated ability to think critically and solve complex technical challenges.
