About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Test Automation Specialist to join our team at Scotiabank. As a key member of our Quality Assurance team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining automated tests to ensure the quality of our software applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop automated test scripts using standard test automation frameworks
  • Contribute to the manual testing process and identify areas for automation
  • Analyze test scenarios and develop strategies for automation
  • Deliver high-quality automation scripts in an Agile environment
  • Continuously improve automated testing methodologies to maximize test coverage
Requirements
  • 4+ years of experience in Test Automation using Selenium-Java
  • Experience in creating and maintaining automation frameworks using Cucumber, Maven, and TestNG
  • Hands-on experience in automating mobile, web-based applications, and API web services
  • Experience with tools like SOAP UI, Postman, and version control systems like Git and Bitbucket
  • Good knowledge of SQL and NoSQL queries
  • Experience with JIRA, Confluence, Xray, and test management tools like HP ALM
  • Strong knowledge of QA processes and experience in preparing testing artifacts
  • Well-versed in Agile principles and able to adapt to new environments
  • Previous experience in a major Canadian bank is an asset
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
