About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Test Automation Specialist to join our team at Scotiabank. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing automated testing solutions to ensure the quality and reliability of our software applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Business Partners, Architects, and Developers, to develop and implement automated testing strategies.
  • Design and develop automated testing frameworks using FIS Profile Scripting language.
  • Develop and maintain automated testing scripts to ensure the quality and reliability of our software applications.
  • Work with the development team to identify and resolve defects in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of hands-on technical experience in software development and supporting complex large-scale customer-facing platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of FIS Database – MUMPS and UNIX/LINUX (AIX platform) is required.
  • Experience with Database connectivity (JDBC, JTDC) and SQL is necessary.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile principles and the flexibility to adapt your experience to new and evolving environments.
  • Financial banking experience (preferably in the mortgage area) is required.
