About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Test Automation Specialist to join our team at Scotiabank. As a key member of our Quality Assurance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and maintain automated test scripts using standard test automation frameworks.
  • Contribute to the manual testing process and collaborate with the team to identify areas for improvement.
  • Analyze and identify test scenarios to be automated, ensuring maximum test coverage.
  • Deliver high-quality automation scripts in an Agile model, adhering to best practices and ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
  • Continuously improve automated testing methodologies to enable QA SMEs to maximize test coverage of the full depth of enterprise products.
Requirements
  • 4+ years of experience in Test Automation using Selenium-Java.
  • Experience in creating and maintaining automation BDD/TDD frameworks using Cucumber, Maven, and TestNG.
  • Hands-on experience in automating mobile, web-based applications, and API web services.
  • Hands-on experience using tools like SOAP UI, Postman, or similar.
  • Good knowledge of version control tools such as Git and Bitbucket.
  • Good knowledge of writing SQL/NoSQL queries.
  • Experience with JIRA, Confluence, Xray, and test management tool HP ALM.
  • Very good knowledge of QA processes and hands-on experience in preparing testing artifacts such as test plans, strategies, test cases, and status reports.
  • Well-versed in Agile principles and the flexibility to adapt to new and evolving environments.
  • Previous experience in a major Canadian bank is considered an asset, specifically in web banking systems.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work as a team and independently.
