You will utilize your assessment, clinical, and interpersonal skills in an environment that prioritizes patient care and satisfaction.
How you will contribute
- Prepare and administer specialized intravenous and injection therapies;
- Receive and review physician orders;
- Conduct patient assessments;
- Initiate intravenous lines;
- Perform phlebotomy procedures;
- Administer injections and provide self-injection education;
- Deliver general health and medication education;
- Monitor patient conditions;
- Provide patient care through observation, assessment, nursing diagnosis, counseling, and health education;
- Document patient conditions in accordance with Coverdale Infusion Clinics Inc. standards;
- Offer guidance and support to Licensed/Registered Practical Nurses as needed;
- Engage in ongoing internal and/or external continuing education activities.
What you will bring to our organization
- A minimum of 3 years of recent acute care experience, ideally in a hospital environment; experience in ICU and/or ER is advantageous;
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing and current registration in good standing with the provincial licensing authority;
- Training and experience in the preparation and administration of medications via all routes;
- Exceptional intravenous skills are essential;
- Experience with central venous access devices is a plus;
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification;
- Able to interpret technical instructions related to patient care; capable of visually and auditorily observing and assessing patients;
- Experience in biologics and infusions is beneficial.
