We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Practical Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team as a Field and Infusion Nurse. As a key member of our clinical team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and support in the administration of infusion therapies in home and clinic settings.
Key Responsibilities- Administer medications and support the administration of IV infusion treatments in home and clinic settings.
- Monitor post-injection/infusion treatments and chart and report on all activities as directed by program protocols and standards of professional nursing documentation.
- Provide patient education based on program protocols, individually or in groups.
- Report adverse events, serious adverse events, and product complaints in accordance with Innomar Strategies training and policies and procedures.
- Coordinate daily with patients, case managers, physicians, and other departments to meet established timelines for scheduling appointments, treatments, and communication of information.
- Perform administrative duties such as monthly clinic audits, supply ordering, and other duties as assigned.
- Participate regularly in team web-based meetings and training sessions to maintain and enhance professional practice standards.
- Consult with physicians, pharmaceutical, and biotechnology clients regarding education and implementation of product-specific programs.
- Required to travel within your designated area and surrounding areas to meet operational needs.
- Required to follow all nursing and clinic standard operating procedures and work instructions.
- Required to follow all Health and Safety standards as per the provincial Health and Safety Act.
- Required to complete ongoing and annual education training as per the training matrix within specified timeframes.
- Adhere to professional nursing standards as prescribed by professional associations, regulatory bodies, and company policies and procedures.
- Perform related duties and tasks as required by Innomar Strategies.
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a Registered Practical Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse.
- Experience with IV therapy is an asset.
- Diploma/University degree in nursing or related field.
- Current registration with provincial licensing body; CPR certificate.
- Experience in acute care inpatient/outpatient or homecare setting.
- ACLS, PALs, MS, and CVAA Certification, and central venous lines/port experience are considered assets.
- Demonstrated excellent customer service skills in dealing with patients, physicians, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Able to work autonomously with little supervision as part of a larger team.
- Able to travel to clinics and homecare appointments within a set geographical boundary.
- Flexibility in order to provide services for pre-scheduled and occasional last-minute patient appointment requests.
- Effective organizational skills; attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to work in both a team and independent setting.
- Able to travel within a geographical boundary.
- Hold and maintain a valid, non-expired, unrestricted driver's license and insurance coverage.
