We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Procurement Assistant to join our team at IPEX. As a key member of our procurement team, you will play a critical role in implementing purchases consistent with parameters set out by the budgetary and forecasting exercises to support business needs.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of sourcing and procurement techniques, as well as experience using various MRP/ERP systems. You will be responsible for assisting with site purchasing activities, indirect items, and supplier payments, while also finding opportunities to increase site efficiencies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with site purchasing activities and indirect items
  • Manage POs, inventory, and supplier payments
  • Identify opportunities to improve site efficiencies
  • Monitor supplier performance and potential supply chain risks
  • Procure indirect items as requested
  • Monitor KANBAN/Min-Max to lead inventory levels

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in college/university studying Supply Chain Management or Business Administration
  • Proficient user of Excel/Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques
  • Experience using various MRP/ERP systems
  • Excellent negotiation and teamwork skills
  • Well-developed organization and prioritization skills
  • Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
