About the Role

Utility workers play a crucial role in maintaining plant operations through general cleaning of facilities and equipment, lifting, shoveling, painting, and operating mobile machinery such as forklifts and bobcats. They are also expected to learn process operator tasks to cover for absences or vacations on either a full-time or part-time basis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide necessary labour support as required
  • Conduct setup and cleanup tasks at job sites
  • Identify and troubleshoot operational issues
  • Maintain cleanliness and perform other required duties
  • Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience in high-speed production environments
  • Exhibits a strong collaborative spirit while being capable of working independently with minimal oversight
  • Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities
  • Familiarity with standardized industrial procedures and practices
  • Effective written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Relevant industry knowledge
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
Additional Information
  • Ability to climb stairs, lift up to 55 pounds, and remain seated or standing for extended periods
  • Willingness to work in confined spaces and at heights, including bending and kneeling
  • Compliance with local and provincial regulations
  • Understanding and accountability for full adherence to safety and environmental health standards
  • All candidates must possess the authorization to work legally in Canada.
