Position Summary
Utility workers play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness within the plant and ensuring the smooth operation of equipment. Responsibilities include lifting, shoveling, painting, and operating mobile machinery such as forklifts and bobcats. The role also involves learning process operator tasks to provide coverage during absences or vacations, whether on a full-time or part-time basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide essential labour support as required.
- Conduct setup and cleanup activities at the job site.
- Identify and troubleshoot operational issues.
- Maintain housekeeping standards and perform other necessary duties.
- Fulfill all other responsibilities as assigned.
- Demonstrated experience in high-speed production environments.
- Exhibits a strong collaborative spirit while also being capable of working independently with minimal oversight.
- Attention to detail and strong troubleshooting abilities are essential.
- Familiarity with standardized industrial practices and procedures.
- Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Relevant industry knowledge is advantageous.
- High school diploma or GED is preferred.
- Must be able to climb stairs, lift up to 55 pounds, and remain seated or standing for extended periods.
- Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights, as well as bending and kneeling.
- Adhere to local and provincial regulations.
- Must understand and comply with all safety and environmental health standards.
- All candidates must have the authorization to work legally in Canada.
- Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
