Job Summary

The Government of Saskatchewan is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Crown Prosecutor to join our team in the Public Prosecutions department. As a Crown Prosecutor, you will be responsible for the prosecution of criminal, quasi-criminal, and regulatory cases in the Provincial Court and the Court of King's Bench.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out prosecutions in a fair and impartial manner, ensuring that justice is served and the rights of all parties are protected.
  • Conduct thorough investigations and gather evidence to support prosecutions.
  • Provide legal opinions and advice to police and other stakeholders as required.
  • Participate in legal education and training to stay up-to-date with changes in the law and best practices.
  • Work collaboratively with other prosecutors, police, and justice partners to achieve successful outcomes.
Requirements
  • Eligibility for membership in the Law Society of Saskatchewan and a strong commitment to upholding the highest standards of professional conduct.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound judgments.
  • Experience in litigation and a strong understanding of the criminal justice system.
  • Proficiency in computer software applications, including legal research tools and Microsoft Office.
