Food and Beverage Operations Assistant Manager

Assists in overseeing all functions within two key departments (Front Office and Food and Beverage/Culinary or Engineering/Maintenance and Housekeeping) while managing personnel. Aims to consistently enhance guest and employee satisfaction while optimizing the financial outcomes of the department. Ensures adherence to established standards and procedures. Supports specific teams in achieving or surpassing property objectives.
CANDIDATE PROFILEEducation and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED; 3 years of experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or a related professional field.
- 2-year degree from an accredited institution in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related discipline; 1 year of experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or a related professional field.
- Enhancing the Guest Experience
- Delivers exceptional customer service by being accessible and approachable for all guests.
- Demonstrates professionalism and courtesy to guests at all times.
- Aids employees in comprehending guests' evolving needs and expectations, striving to exceed them.
- Ensures that all employees, team leaders (if applicable), and managers are aligned with the brand's service culture.
- Responds promptly to requests from the customer service department. - Upholding Safety Standards and Work Procedures
- Implements the property's emergency response plan.
- Provides a safe working environment in compliance with OSHA/MSDS regulations.
- Establishes and maintains effective accident prevention programs.
- Ensures a robust key control system is in place.
- Adheres to the property's specific recovery and second effort plans. - Facilitating Property Operations and Department Budgets
- Analyzes financial statements, sales and activity reports, and other performance metrics to assess productivity, goal attainment, and identify areas for cost reduction and program enhancement.
- Assists and instructs the team in scheduling (utilizing the Scheduling Tool) in alignment with guest and hours/occupied room targets.
- Ensures that obstacles to achieving goals are discussed and resolved by the team.
- Extends professionalism and courtesy to employees consistently.
- Ensures that the team possesses the necessary skills to meet expectations.
The salary range for this position is $52,000 to $67,000 annually.
