Assistant Trainmaster Role at Canadian Pacific Railway
About the Job:
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Trainmaster to oversee train movements and coordinate processes at Canadian Pacific Railway. As a key member of our operations team, you will ensure safe and efficient train operations, drive safety and service metrics, and lead operating employees to promote a safety culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise train movements and communication between departments
- Standardize operating processes and ensure compliance
- Drive safety, service, and financial metrics
- Lead operating employees and promote a safety culture
- Occasionally operate trains and assist with crew transportation
Requirements:
- Prior railway experience preferred
- Supervisory experience in logistics or operations
- Available for varied shifts and weather conditions
- Strong leadership, troubleshooting, and communication skills
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities
- Proficient in MS Office
