S I Systems is dedicated to enhancing pathogen detection and surveillance through advanced sequencing technologies. To facilitate this, we are developing a cloud-based IT infrastructure for genomic analysis, data storage, and secure data sharing with various stakeholders.

We are in search of two skilled Cloud Developers to architect and execute this AWS-centric solution.

Roles Available:

  • Cloud Developer 1 (AWS): Cloud Architect and Lead
  • Cloud Developer 2 (AWS): Data Management and Storage Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct the design and execution of a cloud-based (AWS) solution architecture, ensuring it aligns with the organization’s digital health initiatives.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including Genomics, Enterprise Architecture, and Digital Health Cloud teams, to propose architectural solutions and establish technical specifications.
  • Assist in the development of Privacy Impact Assessments (PIA) and Security Threat Risk Assessments (STRA) for the solution design.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to the technical team, ensuring effective project delivery.
  • Engage in regular meetings to report on design choices, progress, and project challenges.
  • Implement health information standards within the solution design.
  • Oversee the documentation process for the maintenance and support of the cloud IT infrastructure.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in architecting cloud solutions from conceptual to physical implementation.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, API Gateway, etc.).
  • Familiarity with integration patterns (e.g., RESTful APIs, microservices, SOA).
  • Experience in data migration and integration between on-premises systems and AWS.
  • Strong grasp of AWS networking concepts and IAM best practices.
  • Understanding of security best practices and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation tools (AWS CloudFormation, AWS CDK).
  • Experience with distributed systems and optimizing integrations for performance and cost-effectiveness.
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills, particularly in diagnosing integration issues.
