Position: Cloud Solutions Architect at Amazon Web Services Canada, Inc.

We are seeking a talented professional with a strong background in software engineering, networking, and systems management. The ideal candidate should possess a deep enthusiasm for cloud technologies and a commitment to educating others on how to utilize these tools to address both business and technical challenges. Collaborating with the Solutions Architect team to enhance our capabilities and comprehend the organization's business needs will be crucial.

The role of the Cloud Solutions Architect includes guiding clients in innovating with AWS, crafting tailored solutions, and equipping Central Sales teams with the necessary technical expertise for effective client interactions. This position also involves instructing clients on developing scalable, adaptable, resilient, secure, and cost-efficient cloud infrastructures while promoting operational excellence.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable navigating the intersection of technology, business, and leadership, demonstrating exceptional communication and organizational abilities. The role may require travel up to 10%.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Building a robust and scalable Solutions Architect team in partnership with leadership
  • Informing clients about the advantages of AWS and engaging in architectural discussions
  • Overseeing and managing engagements to ensure successful client outcomes
  • Sharing best practices within the AWS Solutions Architect community
  • Conducting training sessions to improve technical and procedural skills for the Demand Generation team
  • Contributing to publications aimed at clients
  • Serving as a technical liaison between clients and product teams to enhance the AWS platform

Basic Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in relevant technology domains
  • 2+ years in design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures
  • 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in software development or internet-related sectors
  • Experience with transitioning legacy solutions to the cloud
  • Familiarity with AWS technologies from a development/operations perspective
