About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Machining Supervisor to join our team at PG Classic Restoration Parts L PG Classic EN. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for overseeing the operation of our company and ensuring the smooth execution of our manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Estimate Costs and Materials: Develop and implement effective cost estimation and material procurement strategies to optimize production efficiency and minimize waste.
  • Operate CADD and Other Computer Software Systems: Utilize computer-aided design and drafting (CADD) software and other computer systems to create and manage production plans, schedules, and reports.
  • Prepare Production and Other Reports: Compile and analyze production data to generate reports on key performance indicators (KPIs), such as productivity, quality, and efficiency.
  • Recruit and Hire Workers and Carry Out Related Staffing Actions: Identify, recruit, and hire skilled workers to join our production team, and oversee related staffing activities, including training and development.
  • Train or Arrange for Training: Develop and implement training programs to ensure that production staff have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Co-ordinate and Schedule Activities: Plan and coordinate production schedules, including setting priorities, allocating resources, and managing workflow.
  • Ensure Health and Safety Regulations Are Followed: Develop and implement health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Oversee the Operation of the Company: Provide strategic leadership and direction to the production team, ensuring that production goals and objectives are met.
  • Requisition or Order Materials, Equipment, and Supplies: Source and procure materials, equipment, and supplies necessary for production, ensuring timely delivery and optimal quality.
  • Set Up Machines and Equipment: Install, maintain, and repair production equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  • Supervise Workers and Projects: Provide guidance, support, and oversight to production staff, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Requirements
  • 5-10 Years of Experience: Proven experience in a supervisory or management role, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with employees, stakeholders, and external partners.
  • Strong Organizational and Time Management Skills: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety Regulations: Familiarity with health and safety protocols and regulations, with the ability to develop and implement effective safety procedures.
  • Ability to Work in a Fast-Paced Environment: Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
