The Associate Director, Finance and Administration provides strategic financial guidance and leadership to the Athletics and Recreation department at Simon Fraser University. This role is responsible for developing and implementing financial plans, managing budgets, and providing financial analysis and reporting to support informed decision-making.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement financial plans and budgets for the department
- Provide financial analysis and reporting to support strategic decision-making
- Manage and oversee financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll
- Collaborate with the Executive Director to develop and implement financial strategies
- Provide guidance and support to staff on financial matters
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field, with a professional accounting designation (e.g., CPA) and five years of related work experience. The successful candidate will have excellent knowledge of financial modeling, human resources management, and organizational skills.
